Our brains are machines. They process stimuli and experiences. And the state of your brain is mostly a representation of its training.
We create habits and patterns of thought and moods and reactions and if left unchecked, they start to feel inescapable.
Today we’re going to be talking about how to overcome what our brains are telling us AND a lot about meditation and how to use what we learn in meditation throughout the rest of our day.
Our guest is Ariel Garten. She is probably one of the most interesting people you will meet. She is a Neuroscientist, mom, former psychotherapist, former fashion designer, and the co- founder and visionary of an amazing and highly successful tech start-up Muse.
Muse tracks your brain during meditation to give you real-time feedback on your meditation, guiding you into the “zone” and solving the problem most of us have when starting a meditation practice. Muse lets you know when you are doing it right.
We Will Learn
- What happens to the brain when we meditate
- How to stop identifying with our thoughts
- How to reroute our thoughts when they’re going down a negative path
