Heart-Opening Gratitude

Don’t forget to listen to the audio above ↑↑↑

Feeling gratitude isn’t born in us – it’s something we are taught, and in turn, we teach our children. ~ Joyce Brothers

Reflecting on the moments when we impact someone else’s life in a positive way is such a powerful exercise. It reminds us that even the smallest actions can have a profound effect on others. And, in turn, it reminds us of the importance of spreading kindness and making those around us feel valued.

One way to boost our own happiness is to focus on making others feel special. Today, I challenge you to think of someone who has had a positive influence on your life and to express your gratitude to them. It doesn’t matter if it’s someone you haven’t spoken to in a while or someone you see regularly. The act of sending a message or even just thinking of them with kindness, will not only make them feel good but also it will bring a lot of positivity in your own life too. Trust yourself, and try it out, it will make you both feel amazing.

Action Recap:

  • Write a letter to someone who has positively impacted your life.
  • Choose whether you want to send this or just journal (sending it is the most fun!)

Bonus:

Meditate on those feelings of gratitude. Envision yourself sending love to this person and his or her family. Connect on a soul level and thank them for their value.
