Are you one of those people with a place for everything and a perfectly styled home? Because if so, will you please come over and teach me?
The truth is clutter affects mental health. It doesn’t affect everyone the same way, but for the most part, it increases our stress levels, it makes it difficult to focus, increases the chance that we procrastinate, and can negatively impact our relationships.
Wouldn’t it be amazing to walk into a home that feels inviting? Or to start daydreaming about your next big goal and not have an interfering thought saying, “Well, maybe I’ll get to that after I finally organize these drawers,” only to get overwhelmed and not do anything?
So what can we do to finally stop attracting clutter and make space for happiness?
That’s what we’re talking about today.
Our guest is Tracy McCubbin. While working for a major television director in Los Angeles, Tracy discovered she had the ability to see through any mess and clearly envision a clutter-free space. She is the author of “Making Space, Clutter-Free: The Last Book on Decluttering You’ll Ever Need” and “Make Space for Happiness.” She is also a regularly featured expert in the media, including The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, Goop, Home & Family, Real Simple, Mindbodygreen, NBC, KTLA Morning Show, KCAL9, and more.
