Do you contemplate this question as much as you contemplate who you’ve been and who you are? What does the idea of becoming even mean you? Does it mean all the ways you need to change to get to where you want to be? And which part of you is changing?
There’s a lot of talk in the spiritual world about shedding our egos, and I do think that is a path that holds value. But why are we in this experience if the only purpose is to try to transcend out of it?
I don’t think the point is to indulge our egos, or shed them completely but to integrate them with our true selves. To remember who we truly are while also remembering why we came here, to earth school.

Azrya and Ben Bequer are the co-founers of “Beqoming” (spelled with a Q), a platform that provides transformational tools, stories and media to help people see beyond the veil of who they thought they were supposed to be and awaken their full spectrum aliveness.
