How do you handle life’s sucky moments? We’ve all gone through those difficult periods where everything just seems to be going wrong. Whether it’s the loss of a loved one, a difficult breakup, or a setback in your career… life can be tough.
But what are the best ways to deal with these moments?
Some people might try to ignore or suppress their emotions in the name of positivity… which is the very definition of toxic positivity. And others might wallow in their feelings.
If you don’t properly process your emotions, they get stuck, and they can cause all sorts of negative consequences, from depression to anxiety to physical illness.
So today, we’re talking about a better way to approach these difficult moments by finding their magic.
Our guest is Neeta Bhushan. She is a co-founder of the Global Grit Institute, a mental health training platform for leaders and coaches, and the co-founder of the Dharma Coaching Institute, training thousands to live their best lives. She has helped thousands of people move past their heartbreaks, failures, and disappointments. And after years of research into human behavior, observing people in their worst and best moments, being a mother of two small children, and failing more than a few times herself, she knows what it takes to get back up no matter what bowled you over.
We Will Learn
- How unresolved issues from childhood create cyclical emotional reactions
- How to use rituals and practices to release emotions
- How to build a new default pattern for coping with difficult situations.
